Meet KC

Kurt “KC” Clayton is a 2-time GRAMMY-nominated producer, songwriter, arranger, and artist with a career spanning genres from R&B and gospel to rap, jazz, and country. He began his journey at 14 and honed his craft at the University of Memphis, where he now teaches Intro to Music Industry. As President of the Memphis Chapter of NARAS and a board member of both the Rock and Soul Museum and the Memphis & Shelby County Music Commission, KC is deeply rooted in the music community.

KC has worked with legends like Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, George Clinton, and Academy Award winners Three 6 Mafia. His production earned GRAMMY nominations for work with Ann Nesby and The Canton Spirituals. His company, KC Productions, bridges music and film, producing projects with a wide range of signed artists. With a legacy of excellence, KC continues to shape the future of music and entertainment.
